SULLIVAN, Ill. (WAND) — A new splash pad in Sullivan opens Wednesday.
The splash pad was created with a partnership between the community raising funds and the City of Sullivan, with help from an Illinois Department of Natural Resources Open Space Land Acquisition and Development grant.

In addition to the splash pad, new tennis and pickle ball courts and new basketball courts are also being installed.
Sullivan Spark was a community planning group; under that group several committees were developed.
One group and its leader, Becky Ogle, lead research, planning and fundraising.
The City of Sullivan Park Commissioner Abbey Sherwood applied for an IDNR OSLAD Grant and received it.
