DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) - Oakwood Tattoo in Decatur rang in Friday the 13th with a special promotion.Â
Oakwood distributed flat-rate tattoos at $100 each, and attendees could pick from a select list of designs created by the shop's artists.Â
Money raised from the promotion went towards the Oakwood Revitalization Project, a city initiative to bring new life to the shop's neighborhood.Â
"We have a lot of ideas turning between the Oakwood Business Association and neighboring businesses on what we want to see happen to this block in the next year or two. So being able to raise funds to contribute to that, so we can get the ball rolling on smaller things, is really important," said Oakwood Tattoo Shop Manager Crimson Ball.Â
