DANVILLE, Ill. (WAND) - Two paramedics are being honored by the American Red Cross for saving a person from a fiery car crash last year.
In February 2025, the Carle ambulance crew of Paramedics Jow Blew and Adam Harris arrived at a single-vehicle crash on Grape Creek Rd. in rural Danville.
As Blew tried to check the unconscious driver for a pulse, the vehicle burst into flames.
Blew and Harris worked together to get the driver out through the window just seconds before flames overtook the passenger compartment of the vehicle.
The driver was able to get medical care and survived the crash.
The American Red Cross honored the team for their courage. Blew and Harris received the Certificates of Extraordinary Personal Action.
