Part of Mattoon under a boil order after water main break

MATTOON, Ill. (WAND) - Part of Mattoon is now under a boil order after a water main break. 

A boil order was issued by the City of Mattoon for the area east of Interstate 57 and for Dewitt Ave. east from the Fields Church to I-57. 

A water main break happened along IL 16 east of I-57. 

Repairs are underway. 

For those in the impacted area, boil all water for at least five minutes before drinking, making ice cubes, washing food, or brushing teeth.
