DANVILLE, Ill. (WAND) - The Vermilion County Museum Society will be accepting quilted items from Friday, June 6, through Friday, June 20 for the 42st Annual Midwest Heritage Quilt Show. 

The show is sponsored by Threads of Time Creative Sewing & Retreat Center in Danville.

Entries will be exhibited at the Museum throughout the month of July.

Entries are accepted in the following categories:

  • Bed Quilts: baby/child, appliqué, pieced, mixed/other, antique
  • Wall Hanging (entered with a permanent or temporary 3” sleeve attached)
  • Clothing/Purses
  • Household
  • Lap Quilts (not for use on a bed or as a wall hanging)
  • Machine Embroidery
  • Young Quilt Maker (child 18 or under)
  • Panels

A fee of $5.00 per quilted item will be charged for quilt entry, which includes a critique.

Participants may enter a maximum of two quilts and may bring quilts to the Museum during regular hours, Tuesday through Saturday 10:00 AM until 4:00 PM.

Quilts entered in last year’s competition are ineligible.
