FORSYTH, Ill. (WAND) — Friday kicked off the first of two days of Forsyth Fest, and the community celebrating 160 years of the village.
Village Administrator Jill Applebee said the event will be a place where the community can come together.Â
"I think it's just a great time to see everybody that you might know out here at one spot, and the food is amazing. There's something for everybody," Applebee said.
It's also a great opportunity for local businesses to connect with their customers in a new light. 121 Coffee Run Manager Joshua House said he's happy to see their regulars outside of the regular four walls.Â
"I'm definitely looking forward to just seeing the whole community come out -- Forsyth is always a big supporter of their local businesses that come out." House said.
