PARIS, Ill. (WAND) - Three men are behind bars in connection with a shooting earlier this month in Paris, which involved a Danville alderman.

The Paris Police Department said the shooting happened just after 11:30 p.m. April 3 at White Oaks Park.

According to Edgar County court documents obtained by WAND News, Jordan and Jesse Kollman face attempted first-degree murder and hate crime charges.

Paris police said they were denied pretrial release and will remain in custody of the Edgar County Sheriff's Office. Their preliminary hearing is scheduled for April 24.

The documents alleged that Jordan and Jesse pointed a shotgun at three men, including Danville Alderman Jaleel Jones.

A third suspect, Jayden Reynolds, was also named and charged with mob action, per the Paris Police Department. Reynolds' initial court appearance is set for April 20.

Additional details about how the shooting occurred and what might have led up to it are still limited.
