SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WAND) - Washington Park Botanical Garden in Springfield will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony for its newly renovated conservatory dome. 

The ceremony will take place at 10 a.m. Monday, May 18. 

Renovations for the project included replacing the dome, entryway windows and installing new heating and cooling systems. 

According to the Springfield Park District, the conservatory dome was constructed in 1971 and is home to over 150 species of native and exotic plants.
