Parkland College Campus

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WAND) — One person has been arrested after an investigation into threats made against Parkland College's campus.

In a campus safety announcement, the school said that Parkland Public Safety worked with the Champaign Police Department and the FBI to investigate the threat made on social media.

Champaign PD said that 19-year-old Malik Judeh of Champaign made the threat. He was arrested on Tuesday and taken to the Champaign County Correctional Center on initial charges of felony disorderly conduct and unlawful use of a weapon.

As a precaution, Parkland increased police presence on campus Tuesday.
