DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) — One person has been displaced following a fire at a detached garage off North Woodford Street.
The Decatur Fire Department said the initial call was made by a Macon County Sheriff's deputy in the area early Tuesday morning.
When crews arrived, the garage was fully engulfed in flame. Neighbors said that one person lived in the garage, but the battalion chief was able to confirm that the person safely escaped.
No injuries were reported, and the Red Cross was contacted to help the displaced resident.
