William Wanless

EDINBURG, Ill. (WAND) - An Edinburg man charged with child pornography last year was sentenced to 14 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections. 

According to Christian County court records, William Wanless will receive credit for 354 days previously served. 

Illinois State Police began an investigation in March 2025, gathering evidence that Wanless had possessed child sexual abuse material at his Christian County home. 

ISP, along with Edinburg police and the Illinois Attorney General's office, conducted a search warrant at Wanless's home in June 2025 before taking him into custody.
