SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WAND) - One person was hospitalized after a house fire in Springfield.Â
The Springfield Fire Department was called to the 1600 block of S 16th St at 1:30 p.m.Â
Firefighters saw fire and smoke coming from the front of the house when they arrived.Â
They were on scene for about an hour.Â
One person was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.Â
The Red Cross is helping the family who was displaced.Â
The cause of the fire is under investigation.Â
