Heavy police presence on Oakland St.in Decatur

DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) -- A 14 year old boy is recovering after he was shot after getting off the bus Thursday afternoon.

It happened just before 5 p.m. near Oakland Avenue and West View Street Thursday. 

Decatur police said, the teen and friend got off the bus at the same time as another girl. The older brother of the girl thought the two were following the girl.

Police said, more people began to show up and led to an argument. That is when a woman showed up and pulled out a gun and shot three times.

The 14 year old was hit and is expected to be recover. 

Police said, no arrests have been made.
