DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) - Two Decatur restaurants said Wednesday night they each received a disturbing package with "KKK recruitment" material.

WAND News talked to employees at University Dogs and Lock Stock & Barrel on Oakland Avenue.

Both said they got a suspicious package in the mail, and pictures were posted to Facebook showing the material.

The pictures, which WAND is not posting, contain hateful and racist language, references to the KKK, symbols of Nazis and other imagery.

It's not clear why certain businesses received the mail or where it came from. It's also unknown how many businesses received the packages and if the material is all the same.

A University Dogs employee said the mail carrier said they had delivered several similar packages.

The pictures showed handwritten notes, drawings and scribbles.

WAND reached out to the Decatur Police Department who told us they have not received any reports.

This is a developing story.
