DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) - Two people were hospitalized after a semi crash shut down Route 48 in Decatur early Friday.
At 12:45 a.m. Illinois State Police said a semi lost control, left Interstate 72, driving off the bridge and landed sideways onto Rt. 48.
The trailer broke open, leaving debris on the roadway.
At approximately 1:05 a.m., Rt. 48 was closed.
Two people, the driver and a passenger in the semi truck, were transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The road has since reopened.
