(WAND) - The Illinois Department of Public Health has released the 2018 Illinois West Nile Virus numbers.
This year, there were 79 human cases in Illinois. Four people died.
The youngest was only 18. The oldest to die from the virus was 91.
71 Illinois counties had humans, birds, mosquitoes, and/or horses test positive for West Nile.
30 birds tested positive.
2,980 mosquito batches tested positive.
Seven horses or other animals were positive.
