ARCOLA, Ill. (WAND) — Six people were taken to the hospital Saturday night after a crash involving multiple cars on Interstate 57.
According to Illinois State Police, a sedan was driving the wrong way in the southbound lanes on I-57 near Arcola a little before 9 p.m. The sedan crashed into another car traveling the correct way. Six people were transported with injuries.
The crash shut down the southbound lanes of I-57 until about 1:30 a.m. ISP did not provide an update on the conditions of the injured.
