SOMER, Ill. (WAND) - An elderly Urbana woman died following a crash in Champaign County Friday afternoon. 

The Champaign County Sheriff's Office said deputies responded to a two-vehicle crash around 2:45 p.m. near 1750 CR 2100N in Somer. 

Somer is a town of just under 1,000 people about eight miles from Champaign. 

An investigation found that a dump truck and a car had collided. 

The Sheriff's Office said that the dump truck driver had minor injuries. The driver of the car, an 89-year-old Urbana woman, was pronounced dead at the scene. 

Her name will be released after her family is notified. 

The crash is still under investigation.
