URBANA, Ill. (WAND) — At least nine car burglaries were reported to University of Illinois Police over the weekend.
UIPD said that the burglary to motor vehicle (BMV) cases occurred in campus parking garages between late Friday and early Saturday morning.
Three cases were called in and officers found an additional six while investigating. All of the vehicles had broken windows and had obviously been rummaged through, according to UIPD.

Officers advise drivers to lock car doors and take valuables with them.
