Arenzville man arrested on 7 counts of child porn possession

(WAND) - An Arenzville man has been arrested on seven counts of possessing child porn.

Illinois State Police announced the arrest of 31-year-old Kyle T. Cummings for possession of child pornography.

On May 2, 2023, ISP DCI Zone 4 Agents initiated an investigation after learning a subject was possessing child pornography on an online platform.

During the investigation, ISP Investigators assigned to the Office of the Illinois Attorney General Internet Crimes against Children Task Force gathered digital evidence that they said indicates Cummings was possessing child pornography from his home in Cass County.

On November 13, the Cass County State’s Attorney’s Office charged Cummings with 7 counts of Possession of Child Pornography (Class 2 Felony) and issued an arrest warrant. On November 20, Cummings turned himself in at the Morgan County Jail.

Cummings will be held at the Morgan County Jail pending a detention hearing in Cass County.
