CHAMPAIGN, IL- Police are investigating an armed robbery in Champaign.
The robbery took place just before 7:30 p.m. Monday night at the Fraternal Order of Eagles building located at 605 Edgebrook Drive.
Police say a suspect entered the building during a bingo game, fired multiple shots into the ceiling and then stole an undisclosed amount of money from the cash drawer. The suspect fled the scene and was seen running toward a nearby mobile home park.
No one was injured in the incident.
The suspect is described as a black male, between 5' and 5'6" with medium a build. The suspect was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt or jacket.
