DECATUR, IL. (WAND) - One person is in custody after a shooting at a Decatur block party sent four people to the hospital.
Officers said at 1 a.m. Monday morning they were called to an area between the 700 and 800 block of East Johns Avenue to a report of a shooting.
Police told WAND-News three people were shot at that location.
A 4th victim showed up to the hospital later Monday morning.
The victims include two 29-year-old women, a 22-year-old woman, and a 33-year-old man.
This comes after Decatur Police, Macon County Sheriff's Office and Illinois State Police were called to the area for a large gathering of people. Officers report at least 100 people were in the area before the shooting happened.
The four victims are all expected to recover. They are all Decatur residents.
Officers stopped a vehicle leaving the area of the shooting. The driver ran on foot, but was arrested after a short chase.
A stolen 9mm handgun was found in the vehicle. Authorities said the weapon was reported stolen in October 2018 by the Nashville Metro Police Department.
The driver, 22-year-old Javel Anderson, was taken to the Macon County Jail on preliminary charges of possession of a firearm by a felon, aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, possession of a stolen firearm, and resisting a peace officer.
