Arts in Central Park coming back to Decatur this weekend

DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) - The annual Arts in Central Park returns to Decatur Saturday, September 21st through Sunday, September 22nd.

"From paintings, to pottery, and photography, and glass, and jewelry, it's a wonderful mix," Barbara Dove, Board President of Gallery 510, said. "I just love going there and seeing all the artists and talking to them about what they do."

There will be a spot where kids can go and check out the art for themselves and even buy pieces for cheap prices.

""Kids can go in there for under $5 and purchase their own piece of art. It's the same kind of stuff that's sold out in the art fair, but maybe in a smaller version," Dove said. "Paintings -- maybe a smaller painting, but they can buy it for under $5."

The festivities run from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the 21st and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the 22nd.
