CHAMPAIGN COUNTY, Ill. (WAND) - A bicyclist who died after being hit by a vehicle in Champaign County Sunday night has been identified.Â
Illinois State Police were called to Interstate 74 east at milepost 183 at 7:44 p.m.Â
Troopers said a bicyclist was riding in the right lane and was hit by a passenger vehicle. The cyclist was rushed to the hospital with life-threatening injuries but later died.Â
The coroner identified the cyclist as John K. Kwiatkowski, 57, of Urbana.
An autopsy is scheduled for later this week.
ISP is not releasing any other information at this time.Â
