(WAND) - Ten years ago it seems everyone was arguing over one dress.
It's hard to believe, but a debate that went viral online over the color of British clothing company Roman Original's dress is now a decade old.
The dress, which is in fact blue and black, sparked intense discussion when some insisted, they saw the colors as white and gold.
"It’s a perception issue. It's the way the brain processes information that comes in,” eye surgeon Paul Dougherty told TODAY back in 2015. “Everyone's brain is different, so even though it's the same stimulus coming in, which it is, everyone processes the information differently."
Even celebrities like Taylor Swift weighed in on the debate back in 2015.
The dress debate was also used in an anti-violence campaign by the Salvation Army, asking in an advertisement, "Why is it so hard to see black and blue?" with a model with a black eye and bruises posing in a white and gold version of the dress.
