People in several Sangamon and Macoupin County towns will have to boil their water Tuesday.
The Otter Lake Water Commission is shutting down the water treatment plant Tuesday as part of a construction project.
That means residents of Auburn, Thayer, Virden, Girard, Nilwood and the surrounding areas will have to boil their water as a precaution.
