MACON COUNTY, Ill. (WAND) – A buckled road on Route 51 near Maroa forced a response from police Thursday night.
A Maroa officer tells WAND-TV authorities believe weather conditions caused the road to buckle. It happened about a quarter-mile south of Washington Street Road and in the passing lane of Route 51 northbound. The location is near Maroa-Forsyth High School.
IDOT crews began leaving the scene after 8:40 p.m.
