DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) — Catholic Charities in Decatur will benefit from the upcoming WSOY Community food drive as the organization says it is assisting record numbers of people facing food insecurity in 2024.
”It’s epic,” Amanda Honn of Catholic Charities told WAND News. “Food or monetary donations for us helps keep the doors open.”

The food drive is at the Airport Plaza Kroger on October 4, 2024, 6 am to 6 pm.
Catholic Charities serves hundreds of people every month. In Decatur the pantry is open 9 am until 11 am on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday.
In addition to Decatur a mobile pantry serves people in Windsor, Lovington, Sullivan and Shelbyville.
