CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WAND) — The Salem Baptist Church will be hosting a flu clinic and turkey giveaway on Tuesday, Nov. 19th from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
The church is working alongside the Community Health Partnership of Illinois to ensure that families can stay healthy during the holiday season, while being able to have a thanksgiving feast.
“So many people — they need vaccinated. And there are also some without the essential food that is needed for the holiday and everybody — with food prices being so high is not able to afford that. So with us being able to do that, it's such a wonderful collaboration,” said Amber Wilson, the pastor’s wife at Salem Baptist Church.
CHP will accept most insurance companies — including Medicaid, Medicare — as well as commercial and private insurance plans.
Just walk on in, get your vaccination, and get working on that Thanksgiving turkey.
