DANVILLE, Ill. (WAND) - A Champaign man has been arrested for First-Degree Murder in connection with a Danville homicide. 

Danville Police officers were called to the 800 block of South St. Wednesday night at 7:30 for a report of people shooting. They found two men on the scene. 

A 30-year-old Bourbonnais man identified as Leequale E. Key was rushed to a Danville hospital where he was later pronounced dead from his injuries.

Officers placed a Champaign man, identified as 26-year-old Nairobi J. Williams, into custody for the investigation of First-Degree Murder.

This incident is currently under investigation. 

The Danville Police Department reminds the public that all subjects are presumed innocent until found guilty in a court of law.
