High lead levels force sink, fountain replacements

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WAND) - A Champaign high school will be closed Tuesday for water leak repairs, Unit 4 leaders announced.

A Facebook post from the district said Champaign Central High School will not have class on Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2020. The closure involves a water leak that affects the school's heating, and repairs are ongoing.

Staff will report to school and work in the school's heated half.

The district said it will provide updates as the process moves forward.Â
