CHAMPAIGN - We have a clarification to report a story that was posted on www.wandtv.com this week.
Our report erroneously implied the future of University of Illinois' online programs were in doubt; however, officials at the University of Illinois insist that is not the case.
Coursera courses, which make up a small portion of the University's online offerings, are free but universities may get some revenue by charging students $30 to $80 for a certificate showing they completed a class.
More than 300,000 people from around the world have signed up to take classes from the school through Coursera, but only a fraction of those students ever complete a course.
University officials say online courses overall are going well and will continue.
