SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WAND) - The community came together at Lanphier High School to Keyon Day over the weekend. 

The 16-year-old was shot while walking near Southeast High School back in April. 

Day's parents were there and served as honorary captains for the teams. 

His mom said honoring his life shows that he is not forgotten, and she appreciates the continued support from family and friends.
