SHELBYVILLE, Ill. (WAND) — The coroner is identifying a man who was killed after a boating accident that occurred Sunday at Lake Shelbyville.
Shelby County Sheriff Brian McReynolds told WAND News that the incident happened around 12:55 p.m. north of the 9th St. boat ramp when one man was ejected from a boat.
The Shelby County Dive Team was assisted by the Effingham County Dive Rescue Team to locate the man, who was pronounced dead at 7:15 p.m.
The man was identified by the coroner as Tanner D. Alvarado, 32, of Knox County. An autopsy was performed.Â
