GRANDVIEW, Ill. (WAND) - The Sangamon County Coroner has identified skeletal remains found in Grandview, IL, on April 18.
The remains found in a wooded area near the 1700 block of North Milton Avenue belonged to Jeremy Register, 36, of Virden.
According to the Missing People in America organization, Register was reported missing since May 26, 2024.
The Coroner said Register's remains were scientifically identified. The cause of death is undetermined at this time and is pending additional studies.
The death remains under investigation by the Sangamon County Coroner and the Springfield Police Department.
