DECATUR, Ill. - The Decatur Fire Department was called out for a fire in a vacant commercial building overnight.
DFD was called to 444 West Harrison Ave. at 12:48 a.m. after the police department reported seeing black smoke in the area of West Harrison Ave. and North Edward St.
Flames and heavy smoke were coming from the east side of the building which was previously occupied by a long term health care facility.
Firefighters were able to knock down the fire and bring it under control.
The building was unoccupied.
