PANA, Ill. (WAND) — One man was arrested after postal authorities investigated a drug trafficking scheme through the mail.

The U.S. Postal Inspection Service and Central Illinois Enforcement Group started an investigation into drugs being trafficked into Pana through the mail in March. On Tuesday, Alan J. Logsdon Jr, 42, was taken into custody at a post office where Pana police said he had multiple suspicious packages.

Logsdon was arrested on charges of possession of methamphetamine over 100 grams and methamphetamine trafficking. Pana police said over 234 grams of meth were recovered.

Logsdon was taken to the Christian County Correctional Center.
