CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WAND) - A Mahomet man was charged with predatory criminal sexual assault and criminal sexual abuse after police said he sexually assaulted two underage victims.Â
A parent notified the Champaign County Sheriff's Office in January that their underage child had told them they had been sexually assaulted.Â
Detectives later discovered a second underage victim during an investigation.
It is uncertain what the exact ages of the victims are.Â
According to police, the victims said that 18-year-old Zackary Castro had done sexual acts with them.Â
Castro was taken into custody on Feb. 26, and during an interview, he admitted to most of the allegations.Â
Court records stated that Castro was denied pretrial release.
He is due back in court at 9 a.m. March 24.
