(WAND) - A Danville man was sentenced to three years of supervised release for not paying employment taxes to the IRS and failing to file federal income tax returns. 

According to the United States Attorney's Office, Central District of Illinois, 73-year-old Howard Wilson pleaded guilty to 15 separate counts of collecting employment taxes from his employees. 

The Attorney's Office said Wilson failed to submit their taxes from Social Security and Medicare payments or pay the employer's portion to the IRS. 

Additionally, the Attorney's Office stated he also pleaded guilty to three counts of failing to file a personal federal income tax return from 2018 to 2020.

Wilson was ordered to serve one day in jail for time previously served, followed by three years of supervised release. During that time, he will serve thirty straight weekends in jail.
