PARIS, Ill. (WAND) — An Edgar County teenager was sentenced to over five years in prison after stabbing a man several times in December 2025.
Court documents show that 18-year-old Mason Ross pleaded guilty to one count of aggravated domestic battery after stabbing a man in Paris, Illinois. Charges of attempted murder/strong probability kill/injure, aggravated battery/great bodily harm, and domestic battery/physical contact were dismissed.Â
Ross was arrested on December 28 after stabbing a 51-year-old man several times.
Ross was sentenced to five years and six months in prison, with credit for 186 days served. He will also serve four years of mandatory supervised release.
