URBANA, Ill. (WAND) -- A 25-year-old Urbana man was arrested Saturday after allegedly threatening another motorist with a handgun during a road rage incident.
Urbana police were called to North Cunningham Avenue for a call involving an armed subject.Â
Police said, with the help of automated license plate readers and University of Illinois police, officers located the vehicle near West Frost Street and Abram Avenue in Rantoul.
Urbana and Rantoul officers identified the driver which led to a search warrant and the recovery of the firearm.
The suspect, who has yet to be identified by police, was arrested for aggravated unlawful use of a weapon and aggravated assault.
