EFFINGHAM, Ill. (WAND) - An Effingham man arrested after police said he robbed a Days Inn in March has pleaded guilty.Â
Court records stated that Nicholas Courtright was sentenced to 10 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections, with credit for 143 days served.Â
Effingham police said that Courtright threatened a hotel employee with a knife and demanded the cash drawer. After taking the drawer, he left before police were called.
Police said that no one was hurt during the robbery.Â
Courtwright was later arrested in a makeshift encampment in the woods behind Boos Outlet Showroom in Effingham.Â
