SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WAND) — Springfield police arrested a man they say robbed the same bank twice in three days.
Anthony A. Perry was arrested on aggravated robbery charges Wednesday.
Police said that a little before noon on Saturday, a man entered the Land of Lincoln Credit Union on South Grand Avenue West with a weapon and demanded money. By the time police arrived, he was gone.
On Tuesday afternoon, a man showed up at the credit union again demanding money. Video surveillance showed that he had a knife. Officers searched the area, but were unable to find him.
After an investigation, police arrested Perry on Wednesday and took him to the Sangamon County Jail.
