DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) - Two people arrested in connection with a person found dead after a fire east of Decatur last year are now facing murder charges.

The Macon County Sheriff's Office arrested Michael Dean Wicker Jr. and Kelly Lewis in April 2025 after a 55-year-old woman, later identified as Stephanie Krohn of Decatur, was found dead following a fire.

The Long Creek Fire Department found Krohn's body after responding to a reported fire in the 8000 block of Ridge Rd.

Recent charging documents show that Wicker Jr. and Lewis were charged with three counts of first-degree murder each.

Wicker Jr. and Lewis will return to court on Wednesday.
