DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) — A Warrensburg man accused of criminal sexual assault and abuse has been denied pretrial release.
According to a sworn statement, Warrensburg police said 46-year-old Jonathan Sansoucie had committed the offenses against an underage person between August 2024 and June 2026.
The sworn statement said Warrensburg police were notified of a possible sexual assault that had occurred after an officer met with a DCFS investigator and the underage victim.
Police said Sansoucie had known the victim for several years, that he was aware of their age and that these assaults occurred regularly, if not nightly. This was said to have been over the past two years in the victim's bedroom that she shared with Sansoucie in their Warrensburg home.
The sworn stated that the sexual assaults were said to have begun in Missouri when Sansoucie had numerous opportunities to be alone with the victim.
The victim said she and Sansoucie moved to Illinois two years ago, and the two other men moved in with them a couple of months later.
According to the statement, she has always shared a room with Sansoucie, and the last time she was sexually assaulted was in June.
Sansoucie will make his next court appearance on Sept. 2.
