LINCOLN, Ill. (WAND) - Central Illinois, get ready to soar over the cornfields this weekend as the ever-popular Balloons Over 66 event returns.
The annual event will take place on Friday and Saturday in Downtown Lincoln.Â
Food vendors will include We Three Sweets, Cheesed Out, Bobbie Lane BBQ, Guest House, Curry Kitchen 30, Notorious PIG, Smashburger Smash and more.Â
Other activities will feature the Up in Smoke BBQ competition, Rail Splitter Festival and Dock Dogs.Â
The Lincoln Police Department said the affected streets for the festivities are Keokuk Street/Illinois Route 10, Limit Street/Illinois Route 121, Campus View Drive and Chapel Road.Â

The balloon portion of the event was initially canceled earlier this year due to a lack of financial support, but the decision was reversed.Â
