1 hospitalized, pet dead after Decatur house fire

One person was hospitalized and a pet died following a house fire on Decatur's north side Friday morning. Decatur firefighters were dispatched to a home in the 1600 block of North Oakland Avenue around 9:10 a.m. following reports of a residential fire with a resident possibly trapped inside.
