DANVILLE, IL- Authorities in Danville say a fire that claimed the life of a 26 year-old father was an accident.
Danville's Director of Public Safety Larry Thomason said Wednesday that the fire investigation was basically completed and there were no signs of foul play.
Police discovered the fire on South Griffin Street just before 2 a.m. January 14. Fire crews were able to quickly get the blaze under control. Once inside, firefighters found the body of 26 year-old Danville resident Joshua Eastwood.
An autopsy determined that Eastwood died as a result of smoke inhalation and carbon monoxide poisoning.
