DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) - A man was stabbed in the back in Decatur, and police are searching for suspects. 

The Decatur Police Department was called to S. Franklin St. and E. Macon St. on September 4 for a stabbing. 

Officers found a 23-year-old man with a stabbing wound. The victim said he was walking when he was approached by two people on the south side of the Law Enforcement Center who tried to fight him. 

The victim said one of the men took out a knife and said he was going to kill him. The suspect stabbed him once in the back before both men took off running westbound on E. Macon St. 

The suspect who stabbed the victim was described as a black man wearing black and white pants, a black hooded sweatshirt, and a black mask with a white design. He was about 5' 10" and 180-200 pounds. 

The second suspect was a black man also wearing black and white pants, a black hooded sweatshirt, and had a tall natural hair style. He was 5' 10" and about 180-200 pounds. 

If you have any information, call Crime Stoppers at 217-423-TIPS. You can remain completely anonymous, and Crime Stoppers will pay $500 or more for information that leads to an arrest in this case.
