(WAND) - Central Illinois will enjoy a few days of quiet, but cold weather.
As most of the area digs out from the late weekend snowstorm, tranquil weather is in the forecast through Thursday night.

Mostly cloudy skies today will hold afternoon temperatures in the low-to-mid-20s with lows tonight in the single digits.

More sunshine is expected Wednesday, but it'll be the coldest day of the week. Highs will top out around 20° with lows near zero or a few degrees below for some.

Light snow is forecast Friday and Friday night with generally less than an inch expected.

We warm a little for the weekend with highs in the upper-20s.

Some models hint at more light snow late in the weekend.
